Story Tapestries particularly targets communities that have limited access to live professional performances, artist-in-residencies, and innovative after-school arts programs. Story Tapestries provides arts programming in a variety of public spaces including community centers, local theaters, libraries, and schools at low-to-no cost.
To do so, we rely on individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and funds from private and public granting organizations. Your contribution means increased opportunities for Story Tapestries to:
- be a resource for arts integration in education and community development
- break down barriers of language, culture, economic status and ability and reach every type of learner
- connect community members experiencing economic challenges and/or mental health issues
- develop the next generations’ literacy, STEAM, social-emotional and other necessary 21st Century skills
- help individuals identify their strengths and find their own voices
