DESCRIPTION:Workshop time: 10:30 am \nThe STEAM of Photography\, Freezing and capturing momentsHow long is a second or a part of a second\, what is the fastest someone can move in a second…and how do you record that on a camera? In this workshop participants investigate fractions and the basic concepts of math by playing games and taking photos and changing shutter speed. What happens when you take a photo for 1 full second versus 1/50th of a second versus 1/4000 – does it freeze the motion or capture the motion? The artist will bring digital cameras that participants can experiment with. Participants will leave with digital photos in hand.
