Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County (CRCMC)

Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County (CRCMC) is a non-profit organization committed to helping the people of Montgomery County find solutions to their conflicts. CRCMc is committed to fostering peace by enabling people to experience conflict as an opportunity to learn and grow, and by empowering them to effectively manage their own conflicts.

To promote and provide collaborative problem solving processes throughout Montgomery County.

Activities and Programs

Community Mediation Program: We provide conflict resolution and prevention services to residents, businesses, volunteers, government agencies, and non-profit organizations throughout Montgomery County. Youth Restorative Justice: Youth program offers students opportunities to learn and practice constructive problem-solving and social/emotional skills that are the foundation for better academics performance, healthy behavior, positive interpersonal and inter group relations. Dialogue Circles:These are open discussions where individuals are encouraged to discuss particular topics, and if necessary, resolve conflict. Reentry Mediation: Provides and opportunity for inmates to resolve issues of family reunification, employment, and living arrangements in the homes to which they will be released. Parenting Plan: This program allows parents to develop a child-centered plan that meets the needs of the family as a whole. Senior Mediation: This program is designed to help residents 65 or older to discuss special issues related to aging and transitional decisions. IEP Facilitation: The goals of a facilitated Individualized Education Program(IEP) is to help parents and school staff to communicate effectively and develop a plan to support a child’s learning needs at the school. Training Services: CRCMC’s free and low cost training options are suitable for community groups, churches, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, neighborhood associations, schools and others. The goal of every type of training is to provide participants with the skills to prevent, manage, resolve, and transform conflicts. Facilitation: This program helps civic associations, community groups, nonprofits, and local government agencies to tackle controversial problems that effect multiple parties and move them toward a mutually acceptable agreements.
