Amplify US! Confronting Racial Inequities in America Town Hall and Performance

Story Tapestries presents performances by professional and community artists addressing the racial crisis sparked by recent deaths of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery at the hands of police brutality, amid a global pandemic. The event will be hosted by award-winning poet and theater artist, Regie Cabico with moderator and racial equity activist, Carolyn Lowery. Also joining the stage will be Black performance poet, Mia S. Willis, youth poet, Karina Gorham, and members of the community.

Amplify US! is an intergenerational workshop and series that brings people’s stories to light, celebrating identity in all of its complex multiplicities. We welcome all people to the performance and to participate and engage with the audience and artists, keeping in mind that this event is centered around the inequities inflicted around Black Lives.
