GlobalGiving recognizes our Racial Equity work

In 2017, the Montgomery County Police in Maryland reported a 26% increase in bias incidents over the previous year. Of the incidents reported, roughly half were motivated by a racial or ethnic bias.

Story Tapestries decided to confront these biases by encouraging children and adults alike to share their stories and advocate for themselves through the arts, offering free workshops in public spaces in communities that face high rates of bias incidents.
