Fox45 is your Back to School Headquarters – and with the start of school just a month away one organization is working to help kids succeed both in and outside the classroom.

Arianna Ross, founder of Story Tapestries, joined Fox 45 News to talk about how the program is helping empower young voices through the arts.

Ross discussed what Story Tapestries does for children in high-need communities.

“We really work with young people about building up their self-esteem, their social and emotional development, and their mental health,” said Ross.

She also talked about what the program offers to help kids learn and grow through art.

“For those kids that are visual… that are working on their literacy… we actually provide art and literacy kits… we provide these for free to kids in early childhood centers,” said Ross.
