One of the aspects of teaching dance that I cherish the most is witnessing people delve into movement and, more significantly, discover themselves through it. I firmly believe that both young individuals and adults thrive when exposed to opportunities for enrichment. Dance education serves as a platform that offers various means of exploration to those who may not have had access to them otherwise.
Bio
Meet Ashlee McKinnon, a dedicated dance artist, and educator who has been making a difference in the Washington, DC region since 2011. Ashlee’s top priority as an educator and administrator is to promote equity and support enriching youth development and arts education programs. She has seen first-hand the positive impact of dance education on her students’ personal, academic, and emotional growth and is committed to providing a safe and knowledgeable space for them to continue their journey. Her ultimate goal is to create an environment where young people can thrive and learn through dance.
