Story Tapestries particularly targets communities that have limited access to resources. Story Tapestries presents literary and performing artists in a variety of traditional and nontraditional presentation spaces, including community centers, local theaters, libraries, and schools at low- to no-cost to the public.
To do so, we rely on individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and funds from private and public granting organizations. Your contribution means increased opportunities for Story Tapestries to:
- publish and present literary artworks in a multitude of formats to reach wider audiences
- be a resource for literary artists to present their work and develop their programs
- be a resource for arts integration in education and community development
- break down barriers of language, culture, economic status, and ability and reach every type of learnerÂ
- connect community members experiencing economic challenges and/or mental health issues
- develop literary artists as well as literacy, STEAM, social-emotional, and other necessary 21st century skills
- help individuals identify their strengths and find their own voices
