Discover how Hip Hop can transform your classroom into a dynamic space for learning and self-expression. This workshop shows how elements like MC’ing, DJ’ing, breaking, and graffiti can be used to teach core skills while promoting student voice, confidence, and community. Rooted in cultural relevance and creativity, Hip Hop offers an accessible, engaging way to support academic and social-emotional growth.
When this course is completed, you will have engaged in a dynamic arts-integration setting focusing on tools and techniques to support the use of strategies and skills in the classroom for both social emotional and content learning, then make a plan for incorporating the expertise gained from the workshop encounter in their early childhood learning settings.
