Share Your Life Stories is offered by the Maryland Department of Aging in partnership with Story Tapestries and Area Agencies on Aging. It is a free opportunity to connect safely with other older adults across the state to listen and learn how to tell the hidden treasures of your life in the form of storytelling. The program includes a series of free Story Circles and Storytelling Broadcasts exclusively for Marylanders 60+.
Storytelling Broadcasts are professional storytelling performance experiences led by Master Storytellers.
Story Circles are storytelling workshops that give you an opportunity to Listen & Share your own stories and connect with others – without needing to get up from your favorite cozy spot this winter.
Registration is simple and gives you an opportunity to receive technical support, as needed.
You can connect from any device including a computer, tablet, smartphone, or even from a landline telephone.

Who is Noa Baum?
Born and raised in Israel, Noa Baum is an award-winning storyteller, author, public speaker, and coach. She focuses on the power of storytelling to heal across the divides of identity and build bridges of peace. Get to know storyteller, Jamaal Collier
Jamaal ‘Mr. Root’ Collier is a dedicated father, musician, host and teaching artist. His passion for his artistry is clearly seen in his assemblies, residencies, and workshops. Jamaal has shared the stage with The Legendary Last Poets, The Kelly Bell Band, The Roots, as well as Cory Henry and the Funk Apostles. He’s even beatboxed with the Temptations! The tradition of oral history in all of its forms are vital to the human experience. Spoken word and hip hop culture is how Mr. Root tells his story. His positive attitude, initiative, leadership skills, great flexibility, and great big heart make him an ideal choice in various professional and informal spaces.
